The summit of each National Air & Space Camp is without a doubt the Industry Day. This is held annually on the Wednesday of Camp and has grown to be one of the biggest single events in the corps. Industry Day consists of a careers fair made up of over 70 companies from the aerospace industry and a flying display with some of the top civil and military aerobatic teams displaying just for the cadets on camp. There are also 100 VIPs and guests from the civil and military worlds who come to see what the camp is all about and to meet the cadets, of which, over 1000 will be in attendance.
The person behind the planning for this day is Fg Off J 'Bertie' Bertolaso, the Camp Industry Day Lead.
Fg Off Bertolaso, Camp Industry Day Lead
Bertie explains his role here:
"As the NASC Industry Lead, I look after the Camp's well-established connections to the Air, Space, Cyber, & STEM businesses we work with. After attending the camp as a QAI in 2017, I knew it was something that I wanted to be more involved with. Since 2019 I have been working to improve the Industry Day and this year, we have grown to over 70 partners and will welcome over 1,000 cadets to RAF Syerston."
